International Rabbit Day Celebration!
Hop on over for a day of fluffy fun at our International Rabbit Day celebration! Join us on Saturday, September 27th, from 10 am to 12 pm as we honor our long-eared friends. Our event is packed with activities for all ages.
Settle in for a special story time reading at 10am and 11:30am of the charming book, Who Ate My Cactus by Nancy Riley.
Check out a wool spinning demonstration from Shirley at Lambspun as she spins wool from rabbit fur!
Green thumbs, get ready! We'll be hosting a class on Rabbit-Resistant Plants, offering expert tips and a curated list of plants that can coexist peacefully with your garden-munching bunnies.
Learn more about wild rabbits and biosecurity with members from the CSU Extension, and information about our local 4-H programs. 4‑H, America’s largest youth development organization, empowers more than five million young people with life and leadership skills. Colorado 4-H taps into these resources, offering local opportunities to youth that include programs in the arts, animals, science, personal development, and more.
And for our youngest attendees, we'll have a creative kids' craft station where they can make their own bunny-themed crafts to take home.
It's a perfect way to celebrate the day and learn more about these wonderful creatures.
