Local Art Show: Olive Ancell

Join us for this free event and help support your local artists! Olive will have her art on display all weekend for you to enjoy. Art can be purchased directly from the artist at the Garden Center (cash/Venmo only please!) and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the artist. 

Artist Bio: As a self-taught artist, my themes are heavily influenced by the human condition and our perceived consciousness. Swirling with considerations of our existence are contemplations of death, other dimensions, and the afterlife. I’ve learned only from what I am provided through my own eyes and thoughts. Although some themes may draw on morbidity, the imagery and colors I use are playful and exuberant. My work supplies a juxtaposition of what humanity has feared since our awakening and the joyous childlike wonder of the world. I have been a student of life through the faces I draw and the lines painted, forever attempting to understand our species, our collective thoughts, and the magical science that connects everything.
