    Frost Tolerant 65 Days

    The Danvers carrot was developed during the late 19th century in Massachusetts; it worked wonderfully interplanted with onions and grew particularly well in heave, rock soils. 'Danvers 126' is intensely sweet and very resistant to cracks and splits. Strong tops make harvesting easy. This packet sows up to 42 ft.

  • When to sow: Recommended;

    2 - 4 weeks before your average last frost date, and when soil temperature is at least 45*F, ideally 60*F - 85*F. Successive Sowings: Every 3 weeks until 10 - 12 weeks before your average first fall frost date. In very warm climates, carrots are grown primarily in the fall, winter and spring.

    When to start inside: Not recommended;

    Root disturbance stunts growth.
