Characteristics

The Rhapis excelsa, commonly known as a 'Lady Palm' or 'Bamboo Palm', is an evergreen fan palm that grows in a dense clump of bamboo-like canes sporting green foliage with fan-shaped palmate leaflets diving into 5-8 narrow, finger-like segments.

How to Care for Lady Palms

  • Light: Thrives in moderate indirect light
  • Water Preferences: Allow the soil to dry significantly between watering. Prefers periodic deep watering over frequent shallow watering.
  • Special Care/Notes: Direct sun exposure may scorch leaves. Very sensitive to over-watering.

*Plant and pot sold separately.

"Super helpful and knowledgeable staff!"

- Sebastian Tramani, April 2023

"Every time I walk into Bath I’m greeted by the kindest and most helpful people! Additionally they have a fantastic selection of everything you can think of! (I’ve even bought clothing and jewelry here! It’s much more than just a nursery). Today I had the good fortune of being greeted and helped by Wyatt. I went in with absolutely no idea what to do with my garden spaces…they’re huge and overwhelming. I showed Wyatt photos of my spaces and jokingly asked Wyatt if he could just design my spaces for me….and he replied “yes!”….he took me around, asked what I liked, told me how to mix color, grasses and heights, etc…he was a wealth of info and help! I’m so grateful and I love how it all turned out! Thank you, Bath, for having great products, and a special BIG shoutout to Wyatt! You are awesome!!! (Also, Wyatt should get a bonus because I walked out with 22 perennials😂)."

"I needed help getting some hydrangeas started and the gardener I worked with was extremely helpful. She answered all of my questions and I learned a lot from her."

"Herbs are $4 and if you buy a pot for your plant, they will plant it in it for you!"
