Perennials provide masses of color blooms and beautiful foliage year after year.  Once established, many perennial plantings require less water than your lawn.  Perennials are easy to care for and require deadheading, and occasional pruning to promote more blooms.

 This plant is as dependable as you can find.  It blooms from August-November, with blooms changing from pink to copper.  Prefers full sun and fertile soil.  Looks great with ornamental grasses.

 

 

Pincushion grows in most conditions and tolerates drough, deer and part shade.  Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms.  Compact, clump growth about 15'' tall.
